Verizon Lifeline Home Broadband Option

The Lifeline program gives qualified individuals low-cost connectivity either with a landline telephone, a a cellular telephone, or broadband connectivity. Households are allowed just one Lifeline benefit and eligibility is based on federal guidelines.

In Rhode Island, Verizon offers a Lifeline broadband  option, which gives Fios connectivity for $9.95 a month. More information is available here. The application is available here.

Cox Connect 2 Compete

Cox Connect 2 Compete is available to qualified households with students in grades K-12. To qualify, residents must not have been a Cox customer in the past 90 days. The application is available here.
